TRANSDUCERS

The Forward Scanning, Solid State Phased Array Works like Underwater Radar
The Probe and new Twinscope all have unique solid state transducers designed and developed by Interphase. The Twinscope is a complete vertical and horizontal forward scanning device. This ability can not even be mimicked by the very expensive side scanning sonar, because it is done with a solid state transducer with no moving parts. Placement of the transducer is always important to the functions of any sounder/sonar equipment. Interphase provides special adjustments within the software controls of each unit, making leveling adjustments possible. This is impossible in most other fish finders and depth sounders.
All transducers come with approximately 9m (30 feet) of cable.

For exact transducer measurements, please contact us directly and ask for the new 2005 Interphase Brochure to be send out to you.

Interphase accessories available include remote station kit, mounting brackets, knobs, cables, transducers, impellors, switch boxes and a weather cover.

How long is the transducer cable? 9m or 30'. Maximum of one extension cable recommended.

How wide is the scanning beam?
The beam is conical in shape and has an effective beam angle of 12deg. As a rule of thumb, the diameter of a 12deg beam is about one fifth of the distance forward of the transducer. For example, at 30m the diameter of the beam is about 6m.
All sonars have a display option of either feet or metres.
